Gayle Gregory has extensive hands-on experience as an educator at every level from elementary to university settings, and is an internationally known speaker and presenter. She has conducted seminars and workshops in North and South America, Asia, and Australia, in which she focuses on cognitive research and its relation to instructional strategies and classroom practices.

Ms. Gregory has worked as Course Director with the Faculty of Education at York University and as a Staff Development Coordinator for a district of 45,000 students, where she was responsible for coordinating mentor programs, school-based decision making, and teacher training.

Ms. Gregory is the author of several books. Her first book, Designing Brain Compatible Learning, has two editions and brings together brain research and practical strategies for teachers. Thinking Inside the Block Schedule: Strategies for Teaching in Extended Periods of Time helps teachers use block scheduling effectively with brain-based instruction and assessment. Her best-selling book, Differentiated Instruction Strategies: One Size Doesn’t Fit All and its companion Differentiated Instructional Strategies In Practice is a key tool to help administrators and teachers implement differentiation in the classroom.
