LaTisha Vaughn-Brandon taught first, fourth, and fifth grades in high- poverty schools with “high potential” children before leaving her “first love” to become a curriculum leader, assistant principal, principal, and now school district leader. Her experiences in the schools have been varied including, teaching and leading traditional public schools, teaching in a multi-age classroom, teaching and serving as a school administrator in a charter school, and working for a charter school management company. These experiences provided her with a unique insight into public schools and a renewed passion to create change for our nation’s neediest children and families.
