School Scheduling

Dr. Michael Rettig is a Professor in the College of Education and the Director of the Center for School Leadership at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Dr. Rettig is an expert on school scheduling and has given conferences and workshops at over 50 national and state conferences. As a consultant, Dr. Rettig works with 500 school districts in 36 states annually.

Dr. Rettig taught in the classroom for 10 years and has also served as a school administrator. He is the author of numerous articles and several books. He has served as president of the Virginia Association of Curriculum and Supervision.

Dr. Rettig received his B.A. from Syracuse University, his M.A. from the State University of New York. and his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Virginia.
