Personalized Professional Learning Resources

Traditional professional development tends to have little impact because it is distinctly non-representative of adult learning needs, especially when the learners are professional educators. Effective professional learning needs to be personalized to the needs of the individual, and be guided by a clear developmental pathway for the educator. Beginning with a skills-based assessment of competency, educators can analyze the gaps between where they are currently at and what is ultimately expected of them. This creates a baseline of skills within a competency, which then illuminates the developmental pathway—or learning progression—that the individual can follow all the way towards mastery of that particular skill or competency. The goal here is to avoid general professional development in favor of skills-based learning resources that are personalized and immediately applicable in the teacher’s practice.

In this webinar, learn how to personalize professional learning resources on the path towards educator growth and mastery teaching.
